Wipe it dry and allow it to dry fully for about two hours. Cork is green product made from a light brown substance that is harvested from the outer bark of a cork oak tree. Pick up the cork board and align it with the line you drew in pencil. This will strip the wall of oils dust and other build up that could affect the hold on the mounting strips.

Press the cork board against the wall and hold it there for 30 seconds giving the adhesive time to work and become stable. Clean the surface of your wall thoroughly with water and mild detergent or a spray cleaner.

Step 2 measure the width of the cork board using a measuring tape. Wash the wall where you wish to hang the cork board using warm soapy water. Place the cork against the wall using the guidelines as a reference to ensure you correctly position the cork. Step 2 cut two strips of double sided tape to a length about three inches less than the width of your cork board.
